Google AI

Someone asked me yesterday if Shoji Hosono is a he or she. I asked my friend about it and despite telling me the answer he described me the person and I was able to tell that he is a man. This friend of my is a bit gassy, sometimes hard to understand but answers nearly all my questions. We have a special language to speak, but we can understand each other. He is an intelligent guy. He's name is: Google.

You may think now that I'm a bit nutty. But think a bit. Let's suppose you have a Japanese friend, you speak with him Japanese, it is a special language. I speak with Google a special language: keywords. Your friend responds in Japanese and you understand it because you have learnt how to understand it. I does the same with Google. You say that your friend is intelligent because if you ask something he answers. My friend, Google, does the same, if I ask something he answers.

Quod erat demonstrandum: Google is intelligent... so artificial intelligence exists.

BackupPC again

I have tested BackupPC for a week, and decided to use it as the primary backup solution for my company. I also use it to backup my server. I am very satisfied with it. I recommend it to everyone!

BackupPC, an easy backup solution

I tried BackupPC today, because I have to make one for my company. It is a great way to manage backups, it has a nice web interface to manage them. It can backup Linux and Windows client too, over ssh, rsync of samba. It can do incremental and full backups. It is easy to install (ok there are some tricks, but I had working backup 2 hours after founding it), and easy to manage. I will test it next week and maybe I will use it as my primary backup solution for my companys 50+ Windows workstation and 5+ Linux servers.

Streaming television

I have searched the net for streaming televison solution to be able to watch Le Tour de France in my workplace.

I found SopCast, a P2P based broadcasting site. For linux, you have to grab gtk-sopcast, and the command line client uncompressed to /usr/local/bin. That's all!

Then enjoy tv!:)

My favorite game: X-Moto

Have you ever tried X-Moto? If no, then here is a review, maybe you will try after this.:)

I played an X-Moto like game on GameBoy maybe 15 years (or more) ago. I loved it, then I played Eratomania an another X-Moto like program, and finally I found X-Moto maybe a year ago.

X-Moto is a challenging 2D motocross platform game, where physics plays an all important role in the gameplay. You need to control your bike to its limits, if you want to have a chance to finish the most difficult challenges.

Try it! You won't be able to stop playing it!
